Liberal USD 480 Board Approves New Gym Floor at Jack Smith Gymnasium

The USD 480 B0ard of Education met Monday evening at 6:30p with a rather light agenda. In new business, the Board approved to remove and replace the existing floor in Jack Smith Gym with a rolled linoleum floor. The bid was awarded to Tarkett Sports in the amount of $73,848.00

The Board also approved a grounds AerWay Aerato from James Bros. Implement Co, INC in the amount of $34,380.00 for the grounds department.

Approved was also overnight travel for the Middle School AVID Summer Institute in Denver, CO, June 15-18, 2022. The AVID Summer Institute training for 16 middle school teachers. The training will assist teachers in the implementation of the AVID elective classroom, mentoring new teachers on best practices in content area classrooms, and assist buildings in setting and obtaining building wide goals. The information will be disseminated through PLCs, Team Time, and through District Professional Development days.
