Carrillo Scores 30 as LHS Throttles Trinity

Ashley Carrillo led all scorers with a career high 30 points as Liberal dominated visiting Wichita Trinity 84-20 Thursday night in the Big House.  Liberal scored 50 in the first half and the game was played with a running clock in the fourth quarter.

Liberal jumped out to leads of 14-0 and 16-3 before a pair of Hailey Contreras 3’s gave the Lady Redskins 28-8 after one quarter.  LHS led 50-14 at the half. It was 72-18 after three quarters.

Ashley Carrillo scored 30 to lead the way.  Rylie Hallman scored 15 while Hailey Contreras had 11 and Keyona Hall had 10.  Bree Horyna dropped in seven.  The Lady Knights are 0-2.   The 2-0 Lady Redskins play #3 class 6A Olathe North Friday night at 6 in the Big House.  Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270, 92.3, and the KSCB and The Legend App.
