Hunter Huskey is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior Hunter Huskey is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.   Huskey rushed for 161 yards in Liberal’s 22-21 win over Great Bend Friday night at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.  Huskey is second in the WAC in rushing with 698 yards and eight touchdowns.  He averages 8.5 per carry.  On defense, Huskey is the Redskins outside linebacker and has registered 36 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, and an interception.  Huskey also plays basketball and baseball.  Huskey and the Redskins play in their final home game Friday night against Kapaun.  Seaboard Foods bought out the game so admission is free.  Seniors will be recognized before the game.
