7th grade game: The 7th grade Warriors played their best game of them season, beating Hays for the first time since EMS opened. Final score, 20-6. Offensively Jayden Heronimous led with over 100 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Landon McNabb rush for 50 with a touchdown. Defensively, they were led in tackles by Wyatt Mannell, several defenders got sacks and Isaac Guttierez captured his 1st interception of the season.

The eighth grade warriors lost last night 30 to 6 at the hands of the Falcons. The Warriors what we’re plagued by fumbles as they gained over 250 yards of total off Offense on Hays but just couldn’t punch it in but one time. Leading the warrior defense was Easton Cooley who had seven solo tackles in his way to his best defensive showing of the year. Xavier Tafoya ran in the lone score for the Warriors on a 9 yard run. James Fieser had four catches for 38 yards and Jairo Martinez had 13 carries for 68 yards and also had nine tackles. Aron Duque had 5 carriers for 58 yards. Both warrior teams will finish their season next week at Redskin Field against the Seymour Rogers Apaches on Thursday. We hope that the community will come out and support these two great middle schools as they play their last football game in preparation for becoming Redskins.
