Thursday night in Great Bend the Warriors lost both games to the Panthers.

The 7th grade Warriors dropped their game to the Panthers 36-6. The
Warriors struggled to move the ball against the Panthers defense on the
ground, but found some success in the air behind the right arm of Max
Holman. On their only score of the game Max connected on a deep ball to
Wyatt Mannel down the sideline and Wyatt did the rest for a 71 Yard TD pass
near the end of the first half. The Panthers outpaced the warriors 36-6 in
the first half at that score held to be the final.

The 8th grade Warriors went into the showdown with the defending WAC
champion Panthers last night in Great Bend. The Warriors defense was able
to suffocate the Panthers run game but were ultimately hurt through the air
where the Panthers scored all of their offensive touchdowns. The first
Warriors score was a scoop and score by Austin Dodge after Jairo Martinez
stripped the running back. Their second score came on a Jairo Martinez 4
yard run off left guard. Xavier Tafoya was masterful on offense carrying
the load for the warriors with powerful runs. Blayden Betts was efficient
through the air but did throw a pick 6.

The Warriors are back home next week against the Dodge City Comanche Coyotes.
