Liberal High School is proud to announce Nick Rotolo as the new boys head golf coach at LHS. Nick Rotolo is a 2004 graduate of Liberal High School.
“Nick will be a great addition to the coaching staff at Liberal High School. Coach Rotolo brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help our student athletes excel on the course and in the classroom,” LHS Activities Director Kerri Miles said.
After his time at LHS, Rotolo went on to play golf at Barton County Community College where he was an all conference golfer. He would then go on to compete at Fort Hays State University where he qualified individually for Super Regionals as a Junior and qualified as a team his senior year.
“My goal is to use my knowledge from playing at Barton County and Fort Hays to help build off what was already started,” Rotolo said.
Nick Rotolo is currently the sports tourism director for the City of Liberal where he runs and promotes tournaments for Liberal to help boost sports tourism and business locally.
“Coach Rotolo also brings his relationships in the community to help promote the boys golf program and will be able to provide them new and exciting opportunities,” Miles said.
“I am looking forward to and excited for the upcoming spring season. We have a good group of boys returning with varsity and state experience. I am ready to see the program get back to competing for WAC and qualifying as a team for the state tournament,” Rotolo said.
