LHS Graduates 292 Sunday at Redskin Field

Under sunny skies, Liberal High School hosted their graduation outdoors at Redskin Field Sunday.

There were 292 graduates in the class of 2021. Nine have already graduated from SCCC. 66 received industry recognized certificates. The distinguished educator this year was Chad Baalman, who announced the graduates.

Braegan Zimmerman is the class valedictorian and delivered her speech after co-salutatorians Teja Sieber and Tony Rivero spoke to the packed crowd at Redskin Field.  Senior Class Representative and Class Vice President Malcolm Wiltshire also addressed the crowd.  LHS principal Ashley Kappelmann delivered her recognition speech and Superintendent Renae Hickert presented the class to the board of education.  USD 480 School Board President Stewart Cauble confirmed the 2021 graduation class.  The Redskin Singers performed by singing “An Irish Blessing.”
