Seward Softball Splits at Dodge City

Again it was a high scoring game one and a low scoring game two.  The Seward softball team won game one 10-1 and lost game two 2-1 at the Legends Park in Dodge City.

In game one, Seward scored two in the second and the Conqs plated a run.  Seward blew the game open with eight in the fifth.  Seward’s Alyssah Pontoja pitched a one hitter and did not allow an earned run.  Jacie Scott homered for the Saints and was 2-4 with three RBI’s.

In game two, Seward didn’t score until the seventh inning.  DC3 scored a run in the third and and fifth.  SCCC had just two hits and Dodge City had four hits.

Seward is 8-10 and 7-5 in the Jayhawk West.  Seward hosts Northwest Tech on Thursday at 2 at French Family Field.
