Hugoton Drops Home State Quarterfinal Game

Hugoton’s season ended in state and at home at the same time.  The Thomas Moore Prep Monarchs snapped Hugoton’s 21 game win streak with an 82-67 3A state quarterfinal win over Hugoton at HHS.

The Eagles led the Monarchs 21-20 after one quarter and TMP grabbed a 38-33 lead at the half out pacing the Eagles 18-12 in the second quarter.  TMP led 54-47 after three and out scored Hugoton 28-20 in the fourth quarter.

Hugoton finishes 21-3 with two of the losses coming against TMP.  Hugoton’s last loss was December 4.
