Ramon Antonio “Tony” Ochoa

Joe Denoyer - March 9, 2021 7:29 pm

Ramon Antonio “Tony” Ochoa, 45, was found deceased on Sunday, August 26, 2018 on the edge of the Chihuahuan Desert near Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born on July 12, 1973 to Ernestina (Rubio) and Antonio Ochoa in Delicias, Mexico. He married Sarah (Perez) on May 1, 1992 in Guymon, Oklahoma and from this union three beautiful children were born.

Most would consider Tony a mellow guy and someone that you enjoyed being around. He loved cracking jokes & seeing his friends and family laugh. Tony had such a deep love for music and constantly listened to it; if he didn’t have music playing, he was humming a tune.

Most of all, Tony was a devoted father. He worked hard to support his family & their yearly trips to Colorado. His favorite place to visit was Manitou Springs. Not a day would go by where he didn’t call or message his kids to ask them about their day. His children describe him as a wonderful father who they adore. He is missed so much!

He is survived by his daughter, Lizzy Ochoa and companion, Freddy Macias, of Sublette, KS; sons, Michael Ochoa of Hugoton, KS and Joseph Ochoa and wife, Sadie, of Satanta, KS; three grandchildren, Bricia and Elias Macias and Ramon Ochoa; his mother, Ernestina Ochoa, of Odessa, TX; sisters, Alma Ochoa and husband, Miguel Corral, of Odessa, TX and Magdalena Ochoa and husband , Renee Torres, of Fort Morgan, CO; and the mother of his children, Sarah Ochoa, of Edmond, OK.

He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Ochoa.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Satanta First Baptist Church with Rod Klingsick officiating. Interment will be at the Dudley Township Cemetery immediately following the service. It is preferred that masks be worn at the service. Condolences may be left online at WeeksFamilyFuneralHome.com.
