Southwestern Heights Scholars Bowl Team takes 3rd at State

The Southwestern Heights Scholars Bowl team of Taylor Vermillion, Alexandra Arinaga, Audrey Ball, Owen Vajnar, Judith Soto, and Sydnie Underwood competed at 3A State Scholars Bowl on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Wichita Collegiate High School.  The team finished the day with a 6-3 record, taking 3rd place.  The team lost to Wichita Collegiate (1st place) and Perry-LeCompton (2nd place).  The team made it to state by winning our 3A Regional Scholars Bowl Tournament on Monday, February 1, 2021.  The team finished the day with a 8-1 record, beating out 7 other teams for the title of Regional Champions.  Congratulations to the team on an awesome season!!!
