Lady Redskins Sizzle the Nets on Homecoming

The Liberal Lady Redskins made 59 percent of their shots from the field in a 68-29 win over visiting Great Bend on homecoming Saturday night in the Big House. After a grinding win at Hugoton on Wednesday, this was a feel good night for Liberal who led throughout.
Liberal jumped out to a 13-0 lead and Great Bend did not score until the 3:20 mark. Liberal led 18-2 and 21-4 and led 21-6 at the end of one quarter. Liberal led 35-10 before taking a 35-11 lead at halftime. Liberal led by as many at 34 (54-20) on their way to a 68-29 win.
Ashley Carrillo had her second highest scoring game with 24 points. Two Lady Redskins had double doubles. Bree Horyna had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Aubrey Warden had 10 points and 10 boards.
Liberal out rebounded Great Bend 30-14. LHS held Great Bend to 26 percent shooting and 0-4 from three point range. LHS was 8-18 from three.
Liberal wins their 10th straight against Great Bend and 34th in a row at home. Liberal is 15-3 and 4-2 in the WAC and Great Bend is 6-11 and 0-7 in the WAC.
