Justin Wayne Howard, 41, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born November 20, 1979 in Liberal, Kansas to Patricia and Gerald Howard.

He attended Liberal High School, Seward County Community College and University of Kansas.

Justin was raised in Liberal, KS where he was an accomplished musician particularly with the saxophone and bass guitar. He also had a love of video games, skate boarding, tennis and family. He moved with his family to Ponca City, OK in 2011 where he enjoyed working at a local convenience store. Justin was always patient and willing to help others. He was fearless with a love of adventure.

He is survived by his mother and father, Patricia and Gerald Howard, of Ponca City, OK, sister, Kimberly Vermillion, her husband Mark and their daughter, niece, Hannah Vermillion of Park City, KS, aunts and uncles, Sharon Schlegel, Linda Kirkwood, Sabrina Howard, Terresa and Bruce Howard, Ruthie and Larry Howard and numerous cousins.

There will be no viewing as Justin’s body has been donated to science in hopes of helping others.

A Memorial Service may be announced at a later date.

The family request for those sending cards to please mail them Miller Mortuary, PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826 where they will be delivered to the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to made in Justin’s name to NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) or the Humane Society, also in care of Miller Mortuary.
