Connie Sue Thompson, 76, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away January 11, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living in Dodge City, Kansas.
She was born December 21, 1944 in Clovis, New Mexico the daughter of Eugene and Lillian Utley Hillman.
She was united in marriage to Texas “Tex” Thompson on November 26, 1961 at Long Beach, California. They made their home for a short time in Aqua Dulce, Texas and then moved to and settled in Hooker, Oklahoma
She worked for Ideal Food Store for a few years and then went on the Liberal School of Cosmetology and opened Connie’s Beauty Salon. She retired in the 1990’s.
Connie loved her family, her grandkids and going to the cabin in New Mexico. Along with her daughter Debbie, they had a special bond being together enjoying deck time and the wildlife.
She was preceded in death by, the love of her life her husband Tex; her parents, Eugene Hillman, Lillian Utley and stepfather, Jim Utley; brother Gene Hillman and great granddaughter, Adley Grace Huxman.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie and Theron Huxman of Hooker, Tammie Mouser; five grandchildren, Kayla Martens, Branson Huxman, Kristen and Zak Brouhard; Josh and Amy Mouser, Gabe and Jessi Mouser; eleven great grandchildren, Montana, Brook and Faith Martens, Shase and Sawyer Redmond, Hoyt and Knox Huxman, Jett and Jackson Mouser, Hank and Huck Mouser.
Private family services will be held due to the COVID virus.
