Warden Leads Liberal Past Hays

Aubrey Warden was nothing short of dominant in the paint in leading Liberal to a 42-26 win over Hays in the Big House on Friday night.  Warden had 18 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in the win.

Liberal won handily despite an off shooting night and 17 turnovers.  Their defense has held every opponent except one (Wichita Trinity with 56) to 30 points or less.

The Lady Redskins led 13-10 after one quarter and 23-14 at the half.  Liberal led 33-20 at the end of three and 40-20 in the fourth quarter.

Liberal is 6-0 and 2-0 in the WAC while Hays is 1-5 and 0-2 in the WAC.  Liberal wins their seventh straight against Hays.  The Lady Red claims their 61st straight regular season win dating back to a loss in Hays in 2018.  They have won 25 in a row in the WAC and 31 in a row in the Big House.  LHS has won 42 of the past 43 at home.  Liberal plays at 1-0 Garden City on Tuesday at 6 with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
