Pedestrian, Semi Accident Occurs in Texas County

Fatality accident occurred on Christmas Day at 12:04pm on US-412, approximately 3 miles east of Guymon, OK in Texas County.
Zacarias Ortiz-Hernandez, 24 of Guymon, OK. was walking east on US-412, 3 miles east of Guymon. A 2020 Kenworth driven by Timothy Calvert, 53 of Oklahoma City, was approaching Hernandez’ location when the according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Hernandez appeared to intentionally run into the road. The semi then struck Hernandez in his lane of traffic. The Kenworth left the road to the left after point of impact.
Hernandez was declared dead at the scene due to massive injuries. Calvert was not injured.
