Semis Collide on Highway 83 Injuring One

A two semi accident occurred Tuesday morning at 9:45am on US Highway 83.

The accident happened at the northbound 17 mile marker on Highway 83 when a  2019 Kenworth semi being driven by Alexander Purcell, 24, of Bemet Illinois was heading south on US Highway 83 and a 2014 Kenworth being driven by Jonathon Robbins, 27, of Phoenix Arizona was North bound on US 83. Purcell stopped his semi on the north side of a bridge, but while Robbins was crossing the bridge, he struck Purcell on the north side of the bridge.

Purcell was taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries, Robbins was not injured.
