Liberal Remains Unbeaten with Win at Trinity

The Liberal girls are 3-0 after a 66-56 win at Wichita Trinity Thursday night.
The Lady Redskins and Lady Knights were tied at 17 after one quarter. Trinity took leads of 22-18 and 24-21 before LHS rallied. A Bree Horyna bucket made it 31-30. Ashley Carrillo’s 3 made it 34-30. Liberal out paced Trinity 21-12 in the third quarter to lead 55-42.
Liberal was 9-20 from three point range and 15-24 from the foul line. Trinity was 4-16 from three and 7-9 at the charity stripe.
Ashley Carrillo backed up her 25 point game on Tuesday with 21 points and four assists. Aubrey Warden scored 14. Halle Payton had nine.
Liberal has won 30 in a row on the road and 58 straight regular season games. Liberal is 3-0. Trinity is 0-2. Trinity is coached by Lori Broadie. Her daughter Raegan played at Seward during the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Liberal hosts Scott City Friday night at 6 with Redskin Pregame at 5:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
