City Of Liberal Approves General Obligation Bonds

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening and approved the issuance and sale of General Obligation Bonds for improvements within the City.

Commissioners also heard from residents on a protest petition for an AT&T Tower to be constructed at 2021 N. Western Avenue by New Beginnings Church. The Commission sent it back to the Planning and Zoning to answer some questions the Commission and citizens had.

The Commission approved a CDBG-CV Grant for ABC Telefonia Cellular in the amount of $4,651, and also approved was the annual Chemical purchase for the Parks and Sports Turf Department which also includes the larvicide for mosquito control.

Commissioners also approved the purchase of the Clingan Property in the amount of $575,000.
