Debra Sue Giskie, 65, of Liberal, passed away on November 4, 2020 at her home.

 

She was born on January 1, 1955 to Edgar and Vinola (Schroeder) Banman at Topeka, KS.

 

On October 27, 1974, she  married Edgar Giskie at the Faith Mennonite Church in Newton, KS; he preceded her in death.

 

Debbie worked with the City of Liberal for 42 years before retiring on October 1, 2020; where she worked as the Airport Manager. Debbie had also served in various positions with the city including Interim City Manager and City Clerk. She had an extensive art and color pencil collection. Debbie also loved new electronics and home automation.

 

Debbie is survived by her Daughter, Angela Powers of Liberal, KS; Son, Matt Giskie of Newton, KS; Parents, Ed and Vinola Banman of Newton, KS; Brother,Wendell Banman of Newton, KS; Sister, Cindy Banman of Newton, KS; Five Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by Husband, Edgar James Giskie.

 

Per Debbie’s wishes there will be no viewing or services.
