Liberal senior cross country runner Alex Lopez is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week. Lopez led the Redskins with a 10th place finish at El Dorado Saturday. Lopez ran Hesston in 17:23 and placed third earlier this season. Lopez participates in basketball, track, FCA, NHS, yearbook, and teen leadership. Liberal hosts the WAC Cross Country Meet Thursday with the JV races at 4 at Yucca Ridge.
