New Look Guymon Gears for Season

Coach Kenny Wooten leads a haul of new coaches for the new look Guymon Tigers this football season. Guymon was winless last year and has won two games the past three years. Kenny Wooten comes in from Dallas Carter High School to take the helm of the GHS program. Wooten grew up in Plainview and played at West Texas A&M. He has also coached at Lubbock and Fort Worth. Josh Smith becomes the offensive coordinator and Shawn Brasher is the defensive coordinator.
Some of the key Tigers are Jr. lineman Jose Gutierrez, Sr. MLB Daniel Arce, Sr. safety Teegan King, and juniors Makobe Merlin and Jace Stephenson. Wooten was a guest during Sportsguys on Friday morning.
