Bee Jays Shut Out Grays

Hayden Arnold improved to 5-0 leading the Liberal Bee Jay pitching staff to a 5-0 shutout win over the Greeley Grays Tuesday night at Brent Gould Field.
Liberal scored three in the third.  Wilson Ehrhardt and Bryce Donovan singled before Aidan Shepardson lifted an RBI double to right center.  AJ Folds grounded out to score another run and the BJ’s scored on an error for the 3-0 lead.  Donovan doubled home a run in the sixth.  Shepardson singled home a run in the eighth.
Shepardson was 3-4.  Liberal did not commit an error in the series.  Arnold went six innings with 10 strikeouts and no walks.  Brady Cox, who is in the Royals organization, returned to the BJ’s for the first time since 2016.  He tossed two shutout innings with four K’s.  John Kelly worked a scoreless ninth inning.
The Bee Jays are 20-3 and Greeley is 4-7.  Liberal has Wednesday off and plays the Denver Cougars in Boulder at 6:30 Thursday night.
