Team Atletico Liberal FC Drops Opener in Garden City

Sometimes this happens in soccer.  A team dominates the ball and shots on goal but loses the match.  Such was the case Sunday evening in Garden City as Team Atletico Liberal FC played their first game.  They lost 2-0 to Garden City.  Liberal had 10 shots on goal to Garden City’s 5.  Levi Flores had three saves in goal.  Garden City scored one in the first half to lead 1-0.  Liberal had more touches and control of the game in the second half but didn’t capitalize on scoring opportunities as well at Garden City.  Liberal native Omar Flores scored Garden City’s second half goal.
