On June 26th at about 10:15am, an officer of the Liberal Police Department conducted a consensual encounter with two occupants of a 1994 Accura Legend in the 800 block of E. Pancake. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, indications of narcotics use were detected by the investigating officer. A K-9 from the Seward County Sheriff’s Office was requested and indicated to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
26 grams of THC Wax, a scale with methamphetamine, a small amount of LSD, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. A 26-year-old female and a 22-year-old male from Tucson, Arizona, traveling to Missouri, were subsequently arrested.
An affidavit was forwarded to the Seward County Attorney’s Office requesting charges of possession of THC wax, possession of LSD, and possession of drug paraphernalia for the female and possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC wax, and possession of drug paraphernalia for the male.
