As scholarships go, it’s a rags to riches story.  Ramiro Santiago went from being a walk on at Seward County from Argentina, to a full ride at an NCAA school.  Santiago signed to play basketball at NCAA Division 2 Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

Santiago had a solid sophomore season for the 17-14 Saints.  He averaged seven points per game and drastically improved his defense.  Santiago was a threat from beyond the arch making 34 three pointers and connecting on 34 percent of his shots from distance.  Ramiro is a 6’3″ 19o pound wing from Bahia Blanca, Argentina.   Santiago will join a Harding program coached by Jeff Morgan which went 9-19 this winter.
