The Seward County Treasurer’s office has been notified that a scam is occurring across the State of Kansas.  Individuals are calling taxpayers and claiming they are collecting taxes on behalf of the County and that they currently owe taxes and must pay them immediately or the Sheriff’s Office will be at their door to arrest them.

Please be advised that the County does not request payments over the phone and if you get this type of phone call please notify the Seward County Sheriff’s Office at 620-309-2000 or the Liberal Police Department at 620-626-0150.
