Farm Bill Information Meeting January 30th in Sublette.

 

K-State Research and Extension is hosting a Farm Bill Informational meeting Thursday, January 30th at 4 p.m. in the Haskell County Commercial Building (600 S. Fairgrounds Road) in Sublette.

This will be a free meeting hosted by the Wild West Extension District for producers and interested parties in Stevens, Haskell and Seward counties. Topics will include relevant changes to the new farm bill, factors to consider in making program decisions and tips for navigating ARC and PLC decisions.

Discussion will also provide an estimate of long-range market and weather patterns as they appear at this time.

Speakers are Dr. Monte Vandeveer, K-State Extension Ag Economist from Garden City and Larry Ruthi, Meteorologist in Charge with the National Weather Service (NOAA) office in Dodge City.

An evening meal will be provided sponsored by Farm Bureau Financial Services Agent Kelley Linn.
