Seward sophomore Rachel Barnes poured in 28 points including 21 in the first half of Seward’s 72-47 win over New Mexico Junior College (3-2) Saturday night in the Green House. Seward finished 2-0 in their Pepsi Classic. SCCC forced 31 turnovers while committing only 13 turnovers. SCCC head coach Toby Wynn says that’s that’s Seward’s M.O. “Our team understands that’s how our team has to play to create some offense and make up for our lack of size inside,” Wynn said. “If we’re able to force turnovers and get possessions back that way it’s an advantage for us.” The 2-0 Lady Saints got 10 points a piece from Kendra Spresser and Vaneza Junior. Seward plays at Oklahoma City University JV on Friday and at the Oklahoma Baptist JV Saturday. The games will not be on the radio. The next games on air will be both games of the Billy’s-Days Inn Classic November 20th and 21st.
