On Tuesday, October 22nd, at 5:42 pm Seward County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a vegetation fire on County road 20, 4 miles west of County road J. Fire units arrived on scene to find 50 acres of fire with moderate rate of spread. Haskell County Sublette Fire also responded as mutual aid. The final damage was 80 acres burned with no injuries or damaged buildings. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Seward County Fire Rescue responded with 5 engines, 2 tankers, and 8 firefighters, and 2 chief officers
