Man Dies in Fatality Accident in Texas County

A fatality accident occurred on Monday October 14 at 8:30pm on County Road C and County Road 22, three miles West and six miles North of Hough, Oklahoma, in Texas County.

A 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by Leon Ray Humphrey, 75, of Murphey, TX. was traveling westbound on County Road C when he failed to stop at a stop sign. A 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by Daniel Lane Cappelucci 30, Hooker, OK. who was traveling southbound on County Road 22, struck the Marquis on the passenger’s side. Humphrey was pinned in his vehicle for an unknown period of time. Humphrey was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident. Cappelucci was treated on scene by EMS.
