Redskins Open WAC Soccer with a Shutout Win

The Redskin soccer team opened the season with a 2-0 win over the visiting Great Bend Panthers Thursday night at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex. The game was scoreless at the half. LHS scored at 2:54 mark in the second half. Yahir Salazar scored with an assist from Esteban Dominguez. The Skins scored at the 19th minute to lead 2-0. Dominguez scored on a free kick.
Liberal is 2-2 and 1-0 in the WAC. The Redskins play at Dodge City on Tuesday.
