Dugger Most Recent Bee Jay to Receive MLB Call

Pitcher Robert Dugger made his Major Leauge Baseball debut on Monday afternoon.  The right hander from Tucson, Arizona and Texas Tech pitched five innings for the Miami Marlins in their game in New York against the Mets.

Dugger played for Adam Anderson and the Liberal Bee Jays in 2014.  He replaces Kelby Tomlinson as Liberal’s most recent BJ to make it to the big leagues.  Dugger was a two way player for the Bee Jays.  He his .341 with two homers, six doubles, three triples, and 19 RBI’s.  Dugger went 3-2 on the mound with a 4.02 ERA.  He registered 30 strikeouts and 11 walks.  The BJ’s were 19-21 in the 2014 and went 13-21 in the Jayhawk.
