Liberal Police Investigate Non-Injury Accident

On Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at approximately 8:13 a.m., an officer came upon a two vehicle accident on Kansas Avenue just south of Pine Street.
The investigating officer found that a 34 year old male was driving a 2014 Ford F-550 work truck south on Kansas Avenue. The driver did not notice the 2008 Chevrolet Impala in front of him was yielding to make a left turn. The Ford rear ended the Impala.
The driver of the Impala, an 83 year old female, was checked by Seward County EMS at the scene. She refused transport to the hospital.
The driver of the Ford was issued a citation for inattentive driving.
