Bee Jays Win First Road Game

For the first time in 2019, the Liberal Bee Jays boarded their bus for a road trip. In this case, they traveled about four hours to play the same team they played in Liberal to begin the season. The Bee Jays faced the Kansas Cannons at their home, Rodney Wheeler Stadium in Augusta. The Jays won the non league game 8-3. Trevonr MacDonald went three innings allowing two earned runs. Trevor Pruitt went three scoreless. Rafferty Brown went two innings and Riley Bost pitched a scoreless inning. Liberal’s big inning was a five run third which broke a 2-2 tie. The BJ’s homered three times as Corbin Truslow, Connor Emmet, and Shane Sirdashney went deep. Colton Moore, Shane Sirdashney, Connor Emmet, Cayde Ward, and Trevor Beard had two hits a piece. The Bee Jays out hit the Cannons 13-6. The Bee Jays played clean defensive baseball while the Cannons had four errors. Liberal is 4-1 overall and the Cannons are 2-5. The same two teams play another non league game Wednesday night at 7 in Augusta.
