Search Intensifies for Escapee

Law enforcement officers are searching a field east of Lakin, KS in their effort to find an escapee from the Kearny County Jail.
27-year old Mitchell Ebihara was being held for attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated battery, and two other felonies. He escaped Monday night after attacking the only corrections officer on duty.
An airplane is assisting in the search east of the town. Law enforcement officers from several agencies are also on the scene.
