Seward County Commission Approves Waiver of Subdivision Regulations Allows Project

The Seward County Commission met Monday evening and after hearing from the Planning and Zoning Administrator, agreed to deny the Zoning Appeal, but after working with the Zoning Administrator and the County’s legal counsel, the Commissioners approved the waiver of the County’s Subdivision Policy and will allow Marty Bauer to continue with his project. He agreed to and must abide by variances set forth by Planning and Zoning and approved by the Commission.

The Commission approved the waiver of fees for the Rodeo Grounds for Crossroads to host their annual Little Britches Rodeo and approved the landfill cap dirt work in the amount of $260,308.50.

For the Activity Center, new meeting room s carpet was approved in the amount of $17,130 from Scantlins Carpet, and approved the purchase of a new stage from Stage Depot for $13,835.80.

The Commission approved including the Activity Center and Court House parking lots in annual chip seal project, and approved the workstation bid from Southern Office Supply of $19,288.50 for District Court.

Also approved at Mondays meeting was the annual Reinvestment Grant for JCAPS in the amount of $106,462.00.
