Lady Redskins Bring the Homecoming Hammer

The Liberal girls had no problem with struggling Great Bend on homecoming night in the Big House on Saturday night.  Liberal defeated Great Bend 65-21 in a game which used a running clock in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Red led 11-4 after one quarter and 28-10 at the half.  LHS built a 45-12 lead and led 52-16 after three before the running clock.

Machia Mullens led Liberal with 19 points.  Katie Horyna had 15 points and Whitney Hay had 12.  Reagan Watt added 10 as four Lady Redskins scored in double digits.

Liberal is 18-0 for the first time since 1976 and 6-0 in the WAC.  The Lady Skins win at least a share of their third straight WAC title with two games to go.  Hays is 5-2.  Great Bend is 1-19 and finishes 0-8 in the WAC.  Liberal has five straight wins over the Lady Panthers.
