Another Dodge Downer

Talk about bad carma in Dodge City. After a 55-17 football loss at Dodge City Friday night, the LHS volleyball team went 1-2 at Dodge City Tuesday. Liberal lost to Dodge City (22-25, 22-25) and Thomas Moore Prep (21-25, 25-13, 23-25). LHS defeated Garden City (25-20, 25-18). Liberal falls to 18-5. Liberal head coach Hugo Cano says his teams’ passing and intensity were lacking. Katie Burnett had 23 kills, six blocks, and 11 digs. Ashlyn Westerman had 25 kills and 27 assists. Caitlin Bauer dished 39 assists. Destiny Hall added 18 kills and eight blocks. Mercede Werner had seven digs. Liberal hosts Garden City for a match Thursday evening at 6:00 PM.
