Lady Redskins Handle Holcomb

The #6 class 6A Liberal Lady Redskins feasted on a young Holcomb team 66-19 Friday night in the opener at the Big House.  Liberal bolted out to a 10-0 lead and led 23-7 after one quarter.  Liberal led 57-16 at the end of three sports.  A running clock was used in the fourth quarter.  Katie Horyna scored a career high 27 points.  Machia Mullens had 14.  Whitney Hay dropped in nine.  The Lady Redskins are 1-0 after they were 23-2 and took third in 5A last year.  Holcomb is 0-1.  LHS plays at Guymon Tuesday night at 6:30 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
