On Friday, October 5th, 2018 at about 9:11 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Pancake and Western to a reported injury accident.  They discovered that a Red 1999 Freightliner, driven by a 52 year old male was eastbound on Pancake.  The semi failed to stop at the red light at Western and struck a southbound silver 2005 Ford pickup driven by a 28 year old female.  The pickup was struck near the front of the vehicle, causing it to spin around.  The driver of the pickup was taken to Southwest Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Her passenger, a 3 year old male was uninjured.  The driver of the semi was uninjured as well.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  The investigation is ongoing.
