Input Needed on Bike/Ped Paths for Liberal

Joe Denoyer - August 4, 2018 2:51 pm

Seward County was one of eight counties to win the second round of Pathways to a Healthy Kansas grant, funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS).

According to BCBSKS, this grant “is the largest community grant program ever funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. The Pathways program provides community coalitions with the tools and resources needed to remove barriers and engage their communities in ways that enable healthy eating and tobacco-free, active living to become a way of life.”

Through this grant, Liberal Area Coalition for Families has partnered with PedNet Consulting to develop a comprehensive Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for Liberal.

The goal of this website is to allow the citizens of Liberal to see the progress of the projects as well as enter valuable insight into non-motorized transportation in Liberal.
