Bench Helps Lady Saints Pound Pratt

Kalen Green had scored 21 points this season going into Wednesday night’s game at Pratt.  On Wednesday in the Pratt Beaver Dome, Green scored 19 as the #10 Lady Saints breezed by Pratt 97-48.  Twelve Lady Saints scored.  Seward’s bench out paced Pratt 69-20.  Seward wins for the 51st consecutive time over Pratt.

Seward led 24-12 after one and 44-20 at halftime.  They outscored the Lady Beavers 26-11 in the third and 27-17 in the fourth.  Green had her 19 points on just nine shots.  Brennyn Seagler scored 11 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.  Journey Greene added six rebounds.  Silvia Velosa added four steals giving her three or more steals in six straight games. Seward harassed Pratt into 32 turnovers and held Prattt to 33 percent shooting.  Since resuming conference play January 3, Seward has allowed an average of 48 points per game.  Seward shot 45 percent.

Seward is 20-2 overall and 16-2 in the Jayhawk while Pratt is 2-19 and 1-17 in the KJCCC.  Seward plays at 15-3 Cowley Saturday evening at 5:30 with a 5:15 Saints Shoot-around on 107.5 and kscbnews.net.
