Local Mission Team Helps at Senior Center

On Sunday, January 28, 2018, the Liberal First Christian Church Disciples of Christ Mission Crew went to the Liberal Senior Center in Liberal, Kansas for their January Mission work. The crew is comprised of youth members from middle school through high school.
Sunday’s work was a mix of helping the Senior Center shred old documents and decorating for Valentine’s day in the cafeteria and meeting room. This crew finds a mission to work on once a month around the community. The crew takes an annual trip every year for mission work. This year the crew is planning a trip to Tawakoni camp near Wichita, KS. During this trip, the crew will be doing mission work in Wichita. Those plans are still being finalized.
When the crew is not doing mission work, they meet every Sunday at 5:00 at the First Christian Church for youth group meetings. All students middle school and up are welcome.
