Win Over Salina South Sends Lady Red into SIT Final

The Liberal  Lady  Redskins are one step away. The Lady Red pulled away from a physical Salina South team to win 47-26  Friday afternoon in the semi finals of the Salina invitational Tournament at Kansas Wesleyan’s Mabee Arena.

The Lady Skins led 9-6 after one quarter and 17-10 at the half.  Liberal pulled away in the third quarter and led 32-20 before out scoring the Lady Cougars 15-6 in the fourth.

Ali Lucero led Liberal with 15 points and made all three of Liberal’ 3 pointers. Katie Horyna added 13.

The Lady Redskins are 10-1 and Salina South is 3-7. LHS plays the winner of Abilene and Salina Central Saturday night at 5:30 with Redskin Pregame at 5:15 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
