Lady Redskins Stun #8 Classen SAS

Less than 24 hours after a home win in Liberal, the Lady Redskins won an afternoon game in Oklahoma City on Saturday.  Liberal, the #10 team in 5A Kansas, defeated #8 class 4A  Classen SAS 37-30 Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Redskins slowed the tempo against Classen.  Liberal led this game throughout although Classen led 7-5 after one quarter.  The Lady Redskins led 18-13 at halftime and led 26-23 after three quarters.  Liberal finished the game on a 7-0 run.  Machia Mullens led the Lady Red with 12 while Ali Lucero dropped in 11.  Only four of  Classen’s players scored.  Classen falls to 14-2 and Liberal is 8-1.  Liberal begins play at the Salina Invitational Tournament against Goodland Thursday at 3 with Redskin Pre-game at 2:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.  The game will be at Salina South.
