Lady Skins Close Door on Hereford

Liberal’s defense held the Hereford Lady Whitefaces to their smallest offensive output of the season Friday night.  Liberal is 3-0 for a second consecutive season after a 58-37 win over Hereford in the Big House for the opening night of the Conestoga/Community Bank Classic.

Liberal led 15-9 after one quarter and 18-9 after one.  LHS led just 22-21 at halftime.  The Lady Red led 36-24 just before the end of the third quarter and led 36-27 after three.  Liberal out scored Hereford 22-10 in the fourth quarter.  Hereford missed their last 13 three pointers while Liberal made three of their last five.

Ali Lucero scored 14 while Katie Horyna had 12 and Whitney Hay dropped 1n nine on three 3’s.

Liberal is 3-0 while Hereford is 3-10.  LHS hosts 1-12 Borger Saturday at 4:30 on 1270 and kscbnews.net in day two of the Conestoga/Community Bank Classic.
