Saints Stymie High Scoring Pratt

The Pratt Beavers entered the game averaging 104 points per game.  Seward controlled tempo and held the Beavers in check in an 80-62 Saints win over Pratt in the Green House Saturday night.  Pratt shots just 36 percent.  Seward bolted to leads of 10-0 and 28-11.  Seward led 36-28 at halftime.  The Beavers took a 42-38 lead but the Saints didn’t panic.  SCCC took a lead of 50-43 and 58-47 before leading 62-48 with 3:43 to play after holding Pratt without a field goal for over six minutes.  Isiah Small had 13 points and 13 rebounds.  Ke’Sean Davis had 19.  Mo Selmi scored 15 with six rebounds and six blocks.   Jamel Horton had 10.  Pratt used a small starting lineup with no one over 6’2″.  Seward’s starting lineup was 7′, 6’10”, 6’7″, 6’6″, and 6’3″.  Seward is 6-3 and 2-3 in the Jayhawk Conference while Pratt is 4-5 and 1-4 in the KJCCC.  Seward hosts Cowley Wednesday night at 8 in the Green House.  The game airs on 107.5 and kscbnews.net.  McDonald’s is the game sponsor.
