Passenger Falls From Vehicle, Injured

An injury incident occurred Friday night November 17, at approximately 11:20pm.

A 2006 Chevy Trailblazer was being driven by a 16 year old male of Hooker Oklahoma on Mile 57
and County Road R. He was heading southbound, approximately 12 miles east and 8 miles south of Hooker, OK in Texas County.

For  an unknown reason a 14 year old male passenger  fell out of the vehicle. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Texas County and later transferred to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo and admitted in stable condition with head injuries.

Another passenger in the vehicle, a 17 year old male of Adams Oklahoma, and the driver were not injured.

The accident is under investigation. The 14 year old was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
