Billy’s Hosts PBA Event

Professional bowling is coming to Liberal this weekend.  Liberal hosts the Southwest Open at Billy’s Ayre Lanes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Admission is free to the three day event.  Over 40 pro bowlers will be in Liberal for the event from all over the country.  The Southwest Open begins Friday with a practice session from 2-4, a sweeper at 4, and a pro am at 6:30.  The action begins at about 9 Saturday and Sunday morning.  This event is part of a PBA qualifier.  First place takes home four thousand dollars.  That is considered above the average PBA winnings.  The event counts toward the PBA 2018 Grand Casino Resort.
